Arete is where tradition, innovation, and design meet textures and flavours tailored to the customer’s needs.

Every product is carefully crafted. We love adapting traditional and original recipes, or rethinking classics, moving them as close as you wish to modern looks and healthier profiles, without compromising texture or flavour.

It’s a personal experience. We’ll talk with you and discuss flavour, style, texture, and dietary preference or needs, and create something that uniquely suits you. It can be as simple as an Italian classic fruit tart, lowered in sugar from the traditional version, or plant-based macarons, or something flashier like a perfectly finished mirror glazed entremet.

We make our own praline and fruit compotes to preserve the freshness of the ingredients and avoid unnecessary additives.

About us

From a culture and with an upbringing centered around conviviality, after a fifteen-year career as a creative in the Film Industry, Ilaria became a full-time Pastry Chef.

A Le Cordon Bleu Alumna, and one of three
people in the UK having pursued their advanced Diploma in Patisserie Innovation and
Wellness.

Ilaria turned her kitchen into a “lab” and became popular for her ability to tackle any modern or traditional recipe, as well as create original ones, adjusted on request to feature healthier and exotic ingredients without any compromise on flavour or texture.
